The rest are used to pump water from the ground. Worldwide , wind power has been growing at 30 percent each year, and now generates the equivalent of 20 coal-powered power stations. Wind power uses no fuel and does not produce any harmful emissions or wastes, apart from those employed in the creation of the turbines.
